MEET OUR TEAM
Mirka Royston, Esq.
Founding Partner
Mirka practices family law litigation, encompassing all issues pertaining to divorce, separation, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, domestic violence restraining orders, and property and asset division. Prior to practicing family law, Mirka practiced professional negligence and civil litigation defense with Bonne Bridges Mueller O’Keefe & Nichols, and then Hancock Bunshoft & Rothert in Los Angeles. Before starting her own law firm, she was an attorney for over 16 years at Trope and Trope, formerly one of the preiminent family law firms in West Los Angeles.
Mirka has conducted hundreds of family law evidentiary hearings and trials and has successfully argued numerous motions and requests for orders, as well as contested domestic violence restraining order trials.
Mirka has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2005 through 2008, and is recognized in America’s Who’s Who for having achieved success in her field. She has also acted as a volunteer mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court and has made numerous appearances as a family law advisor on television legal news programs Mirka obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto in 1994 and her Bachelor of Arts degree from York University. She was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California in 1998 and the California Bar in 1997. Mirka is a member of the State Bar of California, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
